Equipment calculator

Choose a piece of equipment, its quality and its upgrade level. The results use the current game’s equipment formulas.

These are the equipment’s own values, before skills, perks, buffs, target mitigation and combat conditions. They are not a prediction of damage per hit or damage per second. Attack speed is the equipment speed multiplier; different attack animations and bow draws take different amounts of time.

Damage, chopping, mining and armour multiply by quality × (1 + 0.1 × upgrade level). Quality multipliers are Crude 0.85, Common 1, Good 1.12, Fine 1.21 and Masterwork 1.33.

Speed uses base speed × (1 + (quality-and-level multiplier − 1) × 0.25). Maximum durability uses base durability × (0.7 + 0.3 × quality) × (1 + 0.25 × upgrade level), rounded to the nearest integer with ties to even, as in the game. Other values are displayed to two decimal places.

Upgrade material costs depend on the material, destination upgrade level and quality. Crude costs ×0.75, Common ×1, Good ×1.25, Fine ×1.5 and Masterwork ×2; quantities round up with the game’s small floating-point tolerance. An upgrade also restores durability. Unique found gear, charms and instruments cannot be upgraded.
